A pleasant surprise for State Bank of India customers

SBI Maharashtra Circle has announced that it will extend its banking hours for customers in Maharashtra in view of the long banking holiday.

"It has been decided to extend the banking hours at our branches in the state of Maharashtra by 2 hours on Saturday, 4th April 2015 for the convenience of our valued customers," SBI said.

General bank branches are closed today for public transactions due to the annual closing of accounts.

In many parts of India, April 2 will be a holiday for banks due to Mahavir Jayanti while April 3 will be another holiday due to Good Friday.

Hence as a goodwill gesture State Bank of India, has decided to extend the banking hours by 2 hours on Saturday.

It may be noted that Stocks markets will also remain closed on April 2 and April 3 due to Mahavir Jayanti and Good Friday.
