The main aim of TNPL is to attract audience to view the matches LIVE in the grounds rather than viewing in their homes.
All the effort has been directed to enhance the viewing experience. Though STAR India is the official broadcaster, the primary focus is on LIVE audience.
Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) is an Indian Twenty20 cricket league established by the Tamil Nadu State Cricket Association (TNCA) in August, 2016.
The domestic cricket competition is modelled along the lines of the popular Indian Premier League (IPL). In the first edition, only cricketers registered in Tamil Nadu are eligible for the competition. Depending on the response, cricketers registered in other states too would be welcome.
