IDRBT Banking Technology Excellence Awards 2014-15

IDBRT Banking Technology Excellence Awards are one of the most prestigious awards which can adorn the walls of Banking CEO’s.

These awards aim at inspiring implementation of innovative technologies in the Indian Banking and Financial Sector and leveraging technology to reach out to the masses.

          Every year the award categories keep evolving to reflect the ever changing banking landscape in our country.

This year, the Institute has expanded the scope of the Awards and introduced a new award category to recognize and encourage the work done by the regional rural banks.

          An eminent Jury deliberates and finalises the winners. The Jury for the Eleventh Edition of the IDRBT Banking Technology Excellence Awards is as under:


This year, the IDRBT Banking Technology Excellence Awards, were presented in the following nine categories:

  1. Use of Technology for Financial Inclusion

  1. Digital Banking, Analytics and Big Data

  1. Electronic Payment Systems

  1. Use of Technology for Fraud Prevention and NPA Management

  1. Managing IT Infrastructure

  1. Cyber Security Risk Management
  2. Evangelising Technology Adoption
  3. Best IT-Enabled Co-operative Bank
  4. Best IT-Enabled Regional Rural Bank.

Keeping the funda, ‘no one size fits all’, the banks were classified into three categories i.e Large,Mid-Size and Small. This classification is for a more meaningful comparison between peers.

Representatives of the Winning Banks, received the IDRBT Banking Technology Excellence Awards from the hands of Dr. Raghuram G. Rajan, Governor, Reserve Bank of India, and Visitor, IDRBT.

IIBF-Certificate Examination in Foreign Exchange Facilities for Individuals

IIBF introduces Self-Paced E-learning courses (SPeL) for its two certificates

          Indian Institute of Banking Finance (IIBF) has taken a quantum leap in disseminating knowledge to its members and non-members.           IIBF in April 2019, introduced the Self-Paced E-learning courses (SPeL) concept for banking enthusiasts to be familiar with banking concepts.           In the first stage, IIBF has launched   two certificate courses i.e 1. Digital Banking and 2. Ethics in Banking.           The objective of this self-paced e-learning mode are as follows: • Participants can make the best use of his or her time, in order to meet his or her learning objectives. • Participants can access the course   anywhere/anytime with an internet connection. • Participants need not travel to give their examinations.
