BBPS – Over INR6,400 Crores worth Electricity Bills paid via BBPS

            The % of electricity bills being paid via BBPS are not in the public domain. However, what is in the public domain is the total number of electricity bills being paid via BBPS.

            Electricity bills are so popular on BBPS, that this category is the clear leader.

During August 2021, 27.88 Million electricity bills amounting to INR6,471.14 crores were paid through the BBPS Channel.

            This translates into 47.35% by volume and 62.78% by value.



            Over 70 Electricity distribution spread across India are on BBPS. The multiple payment options on BBPS are one more reason for the popularity of BBPS.
