Customers
can upload all their Gift Cards serviced by Qwikcilver onto Woohoo APP or
website and track their usages.
As 9 out 10 Gift Cards in India are powered
by Qwikcilver, there are high chances of customers having multiple gift cards
all serviced by Qwikcilver.
The 2019 Qwikcilver Gift Card Conclave is a
great opportunity to elicit feedback on the idea of ‘Donating unredeemed reward
points / gift card balances to charity’.
A panel discussion with representatives from:
· Clients
· Woohoo
users
· NGOs
· Psychologists
might
lead to more interesting ideas on this feature.
Proposed Process Flow
01) Qwikcilver in consultation decides the
transferable value of to be expired reward / gift points to NGOs. Eg: Value of
1 reward point can be 10 paise or any other amount as mutually agreed.
02)
On D Day minus 15, the window opens for customers
to transfer the reward/gift points expiring to the chosen NGO
Variants:
A)
In case customer does not choose his/her preferred
NGO, on the D Day the value of expired reward/gift points to NGO of the month.
B)
Redemption value changes as the D Day nears.
Implementation Challenges:
A) On
boarding NGOs
B) Tax exemption
certificate
Benefits:
01) New stickiness tool for customers to transact
more frequently on Woohoo APP
02)
Increase the brand quotient, as very few Gifting
companies in the world have this feature
03)
Reduce the guilt level of customers faced on expiry
of gift/reward points
Disclaimer:
The above IdeA is solely mine and do not represent my employers’ views.
Unredeemed Reward / Gift points is a huge
market.
Qwikcilver is poised correctly to be a change-marker
in this sector.
