Mygov.in portal open for Union Budget 2021-2022 Ideas. Invitation from Finance Minister.

 



The Union Budget 2021, likely to be presented on February 1, 2020 will be the third budget of Modi's 2.0 government and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

          Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, kicked off the Union Budget 2021-22 citizen consultations with a call to the general public to share the budget ideas.

Over the years, the Ministry of Finance has been holding pre-budget consultations in North Block with Industry/Commerce Associations, Trade Bodies, and Experts to seek ideas for the Annual Budget.

Owing to the pandemic situation, the Ministry has received suggestions from various quarters for holding pre-budget consultations in a different format.

Finance Ministry accordingly decided to create a dedicated email to receive suggestions from various Institutions/Experts.

A specific communication to this effect will be sent shortly.

Finance Ministry also been decided to make the Annual Budget 2021-22 consultations more participatory and democratic by taking it closer to the people of India.

General public in their individual capacity need to register on MyGov to submit their ideas for Budget 2021-22.

The submissions will be further examined by the concerned Ministries/Departments of Government of India.

If required, individuals may be contacted on the email/mobile no. provided at the time of registration to seek clarification on their submissions.

The portal will remain open until 30th November 2020.

          Citizens can share their special ideas in not more than 500 words by logging into mygov.in.

          Prior registration on mygov.in portal is necessary.

          The last date for submission of ideas is 11.59pm, 30th November,2020.

          Interested citizens have to share the following details on the specific mygov.in microsite :

·        Name / नाम

·        State/Union Territory / राज्य/केंद्र शासित प्रदेश - Choose from Drop Down Box

 

 

·        Email ID / ईमेल आईडी - Key in your email id. Please key in the correct email id, as all correspondence will take place via this mail id only.

·        Mobile No. / मोबाइल नंबर -   Only numbers may be entered in this field. Double check the mobile number

·        Category / श्रेणी - Choose from Dropdown box i.e. Individuals or Institutions

·        Type of Budget Idea / बजट संबंधी सुझाव की श्रेणी - Choose from Dropdown box i.e. Tax Or Other

 

·        Your Ideas for the Budget 2021-22( Not more than 500 words ) / बजट 2021-22 के लिए आपकी राय/सुझाव (500 शब्द से अधिक नहीं)  - Directly type in your ideas to the Idea Box. Please note the idea/ideas should not exceed 500 words

Hit ‘Submit’, button once you are confident of the idea.

Wait and relax.

If your idea is innovative, it may be taken up by Finance Ministry officials for further processing.

 Citizens can submit multiple ideas, as long as they are within the 500 words limit.

So, fine-tune your ideas carefully, summarise it, recheck the summary and then upload it in mygov.in

Do not wait till the last moment to share your idea. The earlier you share, the better will be your chances.

The ideas may be the most out of the box, just package it properly.

The submissions have been divided into two categories only ie. Tax and Other. There is no other category, there is no restriction on the type of ideas.

Government of India is open to all ideas, so put your thinking hat and upload your idea, as soon as possible.
