'Atma Nirbhar Abhiyan’ Package worth 20 lac crore – What is in store for Digital Transactions?
Shri Narendra Modi, India’s Prime Minister in his address to Nation at 8.00pm today i.e 12th May 2020 announced 'Atma Nirbhar Abhiyan’ Package worth INR 20,00,000 crore package.
This
package is aimed at labourers, farmers, honest taxpayers, MSMEs and cottage
industry.
The nitty-gritty
is not yet been announced. The working details of the package will be announced
by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the coming days. So, expect lots of
action from tomorrow i.e 13th May 2020 onwards in all spheres of
economy.
PM Modi
said the economic package would be around the 10 per cent of the GDP. “I
announce a special economic package today. This will play an important role in
the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’.
The announcements made by the government on
Covid-19, decisions of RBI and today’s package totals to Rs 20 lakh crore. This
is 10 per cent of India’s GDP,” PM Narendra Modi said.
Titled
‘Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ (Self Reliant India Campaign), the package will
focus on the supply chain in the farm sector, taxation, simple and clear rules/regulations,
sound infrastructure, competent and efficient labour force and a strong
financial system.
These
reforms will promote business, attract investment, and further strengthen ‘Make
in India’.
So, what
will be in store for Digital Transactions? Will there be a massive, massive
booster or !!
