 Reliance Jio offers ‘Emergency Data Loan’ to its prepaid users




            Mobile Data has now become a necessity rather than a luxury. We Indians, love mobile data and daily consume huge quantities. Mobile data is an invisible commodity but for the majority of us, difficult to survive without it.       

            How many times did you wish you could get a hand loan for mobile data purchase?

            Keeping these sentiments in mind, Reliance Jio unveiled the ‘Emergency Data Loan’ program.

The highlights of this Emergency Data Loan are:

Maximum of 5 emergency data packs of 1GB, with per pack value of INR11/-

On successful processing, the data is added instantly.

Users can repay the loan amount through the ‘My Jio’ App itself.

Once the repayment is done, the data loan counter resets for the paid packs.  

As and when users repay the loan amount, the counter resets accordingly.

As of now, this is available for all Reliance Jio prepaid smartphone users.

Hence, the first criteria to avail ‘Emergency Data Loan’ is to get a Reliance Jio Prepaid smartphone.  

Steps to avail the 'Emergency data loan' Jio recharge is very simple, via My Jio App

Jio Smartphone Prepaid users just have to follow the below steps, for a successful 'Emergency data loan'

·         Open 'My Jio' and go to 'Menu' situated on the top left corner of the screen.

·         Under the Mobile Services option, select 'Emergency Data Loan'.

·         Click on 'Proceed' that will appear under the banner and select 'Get emergency data' option.

·         Click on 'Activate now'.

·         The 'Emergency Data Loan' will be activated on your phone instantly.

 

Users will be required to have an active base plan to opt for the data loan facility.

The data loan pack will be valid till the base plan validity.

So users will be able to use the additional data till the validity date for their base plan.

Please note the ‘Emergency Data Loan’ cannot be activated from a physical touch point.

The whole application process is fully Online

The repayment option is via any online payment option.

Currently, ‘Emergency Data Loan’ repayment via cash is not available. Of the future, no one knows. Just wait and watch.

No, Jio prepaid smartphone users cannot take the loan on behalf of other users. Each Jio prepaid smartphone user has to apply a loan for himself/herself.

There is no set repayment date for ‘Emergency Data Loan’. However prompt repayment increases one’s chance of availing the same services in the future too.

This is a variant of ‘Buy Now Pay Later’, and here the user can only get Reliance Jio Mobile Data. Nothing more – Nothing less
