33 days over, 13 days left for Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025

The Kumbh Mela is a celebration of unity, faith, and renewal

Time indeed flies fast—already 33 days of Prayagraj Maha Kumbh are over.

A large number of visitors from all over the world have come down to Prayagraj for the sacred dip at Kumbh Mela.

Devotees can still come down to Prayagraj for the next 13 days for the sacred dip.

Day After Maghi Purnima Snan at Maha Kumbh: The Crowds Begin to Thin

As the grand Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj progresses, the day after the Maghi Purnima Snan marked a noticeable shift in the festival’s atmosphere. With the main rituals now concluded, a significant number of devotees have started their journey home, bringing a sense of gradual closure to the religious congregation. As of now, 33 days of the Maha Kumbh have passed, with another 13 days left until its grand conclusion.

Departure of Kalpvasis and Akharas

More than 10 lakh kalpvasis, who had been camping at the mela site since Makar Sankranti on January 14, have begun to leave. Most of the akharas had already moved out following the Basant Panchami Snan on February 3.

According to Mahant Dharmendra Das of Udaseen Akhara (Bandhua), ten akharas had left by February 7, with the remaining three scheduled to leave by the evening of February 13, 2025. While the Bada and Chhota Udaseen Akharas have already departed, the Udaseen Bandhua Akhara plans to stay until Maha Shivratri, the final day of the Maha Kumbh.

The vast stretches of Sectors 18 and 19, once filled with kalpvasis, are expected to be vacated within the next three days, while Sector 20, which hosted various akharas, is now nearly empty. Although camps of different religious organizations will remain active until the conclusion of the Maha Kumbh, many ongoing events are now winding down.

Security and Traffic Management

Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar, speaking to The Indian Express, confirmed that the departure process is well underway. By Thursday morning, around 5 lakh kalpvasis had already left, with the remaining ones following suit throughout the day. However, security, traffic management, and other administrative arrangements will continue as usual until the festival concludes on February 26.

While new pilgrims continue to arrive in Prayagraj, the overall footfall is expected to decline in the coming days. This decrease will ease the pressure on road traffic, ensuring smoother movement across major routes, including Malak Harhar (Lucknow), Mirzapur Road, Rewa Road, Sahson (Jaunpur), Phaphamau (Lucknow), Andawa (Varanasi route), and Kaushambi.

The Traffic Department has urged devotees to follow the official guidelines and avoid unnecessary halts along the designated routes to facilitate an orderly departure.

Looking Ahead

With the Maha Kumbh nearing its final phase, the atmosphere is shifting from high-energy festivities to a more reflective and winding-down period. While some devotees and religious groups will stay until the festival's official conclusion, the gradual departure of kalpvasis and akharas signals the beginning of the end of this massive spiritual gathering.

With just 13 days left for the grand culmination of Maha Kumbh 2025, the focus will now shift to the final rituals and the upcoming Maha Shivratri, ensuring a fitting end to this momentous event in the sacred city of Prayagraj.

Safe and Stylish: Unveiling World SafeePay and Blouse Day Delights

The need for observing World SafeePay Day and World Blouse Day arises from the absence of dedicated global celebrations for these concepts.

World SafeePay Day aims to celebrate the joy of safe electronic payments in all financial transactions, representing an abstract celebration that highlights the significance of secure and efficient digital financial interactions. As the world increasingly relies on electronic payment systems, having a designated day for SafeePay emphasizes the importance of secure and reliable digital financial transactions.

On the other hand, World Blouse Day seeks to celebrate the joys of wearing blouses in a more lively and visually impactful manner. The concept involves a powerful display of togetherness, with millions of people stepping out wearing blouses based on a chosen theme. This display celebration not only promotes a sense of unity but also serves as a unique and creative expression of shared identity through clothing.
