IDRBT and SVPNPA jointly announce ‘Basic Course on Investigation of Banking Frauds’


           IDRBT stands for Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology. IDRBT has a physical presence in Hyderabad

          SVPNPA stands for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. The primary purpose of the Academy is to impart training to Indian Police Service officers before they are sent to their respective state cadres to carry out their duties. SVPNPA campus is spread around 277 acres in Hyderabad.

          ‘Basic Course on Investigation of Banking Frauds’ is the first program under the collaboration of IDBRT and SVPNPA.

          Basing on the feedback received from participants of this course, similar programs will be conducted.

          Course Schedule: July 09 to July 13, 2018

          Type: Fully Residential

          Program Venue: First two and half days at IDBRT Campus, Hyderabad and later two and half days at SVP NPA Campus, Hyderabad.

·       Investigation of Digital Wallets and Payment Gateway related cases
·       Handling block chain and crypto currency systems
·       Banking security best practices
·       Incident response to digital crimes in banking sector – role of banks and role of police
·       Collaboration between banks and police in investigation
·       Investigation related to International Banks
·       Analysis of ATM/Bank CCTV footages
·       Cyber laws – an overview
·       Bankers book evidence act

Course Objective:-

§  To collaborate in investigation of economic offenses in cyber space
§  To understand the nature of cybercrimes in cyber space
§  To handle the complains related to security breaches
§  To understand the roles of First responder

Course End Use:-

v  To Investigate Cyber Crimes effectively
v  To build deterrence for prevention of cyber crimes

Who can participate?
*     From Banks – Officers involved in fraud investigation
*     From Law Enforcement Agencies – officials involved in cyber crime investigations

SVP NPA has invited Nominations for this 5-Day Joint Training Course vide Letter Dt.18/05/2018

     Nominations invited from Officers working in the field of cyber crimes / cyber security or supervising such units.

       SVP NPA has sought nominations from one IPS /Police Officers of the rank of ASP and above from States/UTs, IRS officers of equivalent rank from CBDT/CBEC/CEIB/DRI/FIU-IND and Enforcement Directorate to attend the course.

     The course fee for participants nominated by SVP NPA is to be borne by respective State/Central Governments.
