Highlights of Press Release dt.March  19, 2019 - -  India's leading merchant platform company, Pine Labs,  announces that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Bangalore-based gift card solutions provider, Qwikcilver, for USD 110 million. 
Qwikcilver, founded in 2006, is a full-stack gift card service provider, powering nine out of every 10 gift cards in the country and managing an annualized gross transaction value of USD 1.5 billion across India, Middle East and South East Asia.


Press Release 02 dt.March 27, 2019 - Pine Labs collaborates with Google Pay in India

Highlights of Press Release 02 dt.March 27, 2019 -- Pine Labs, a merchant platform company, has announced a collaboration with Google India to enable offline transactions for their digital payments service, Google Pay. With this collaboration, Google can have access to over 330,000 point-of-sale terminals in over 3000 towns in India. Pine Labs' solutions are used by merchants from diverse sectors - electronics, food & beverage, fashion, pharmacy, telecom and airlines.

Pine Labs branded point-of-sale terminals in offline stores can be used by merchants to process Google Pay using a secure, two-step process.

 Merchants can initiate a payment request using a Google Pay user's mobile number. The user then authenticates this request via their Google Pay app for the payment to be processed. Both the merchant and customer receive instant notifications on the completion of a transaction.

The next article which caught my eye was the announcement for Qwikcilver Gift Card Conclave 2019.


As the D Day draws near, Qwikcilver will announce its agenda for the 2019 conclave.

As of now, the Qwikcilver sub page displays few photographs of 2018 enclave and a dialogue box to request for an invitation.
