INDIA POLICE HACKATHON 2019 - What will be your differentiator?

So, what will be your team differentiator for the India Police Hackathon 2019??

The ‘India Police Hackathon 2019’, is being organized by Karnataka State Police & co-hosted by R V College of Engineering.

The hackathon is for 36 hours from 16-17 November 2019 @ R V College of Engineering, Bangalore.

In case your team has not registered and is interested in Police activities, this is the chance.

Time is running out! Online registration closes Tuesday, 12th Nov 2019 at Midnight!

The complete details are available at https://www.ksp.gov.in/hackathon/

The Hackathon has 5 overall themes as under and Teams are to provide solutions relating to the theme.

Summary of expectation is updated on the hackathon welcome page.

The below themes are common to Police activities across all Indian States. A success in  ‘INDIA POLICE HACKATHON 2019’ will offer opportunities in other states too.

Hence, it is of utmost importance for Teams to brainstorm and finalise their differentiator before the actual hackathon.

Theme 01) Facial Recognition

Theme 02) Unified Communication App

Theme 03) Centralised Standard Beat Management Solution

Theme 04) Connecting Online presence for OSINT and Investigation

Theme 05) MoRTH Data Analysis

7 Differentiator’s for “ MoRTH Data Analysis” theme.

The Base data is from MoRTH Database.

The MoRTH Database contains Pan-India data and can be drilled down to a specific state.

Differentiator 01) Timing of the Accident – i.e Proceeding to work/home/business meeting/pickup friends/pick up relatives.

Differentiator 02) Mind-set of the victim – Upset/Happy/Neutral.

Differentiator 03) Route pattern – Regular/New/sudden changes along the route (street lights not functioning / construction activities / Utilities related).

Differentiator 04) Occasion – Any festival around the corner.

Differentiator 05) Climate - Variations in average climate condition at the accident site
Differentiator 06) Number of people travelling in the accident vehicle – Optimum as per the vehicle / More as per the vehicle.

Differentiator 07) Physical condition of the accident vehicle - Optimum / Bad

Teams can build similar differentiators for all the themes before the physical hackathon.

My favourite differentiator – Digital transactions trail in “Connecting Online presence for OSINT and Investigation”
