MS Dhoni onboards Khatabook @ Joy of Digital Book Keeping
To
spread the Joy of Digital Book Keeping, MS Dhoni is investing in Khatabook and
also as Brand Ambassador.
Khatabook
focus is to simplify the basic bookkeeping activities for small merchants. The
merchants can digitise all their day to day financial transactions, especially
the recording of credit (Jama) and debit
(Udhaar) transactions for their trusted customers.
Khatabook
has recently added the ‘Payment Options’, to the App. Through this module,
Khatabook merchant can choose the preferred payment receipt mode from his customers.
The merchant can share the Payment Link to his/her customers for executing the
payment transaction.
This feature
safeguards both the merchant and customer. The customer is assured that the payment
is being made to the correct merchant only, and the merchant cannot deny
receipt of the payment. The merchant can keep track of the pending requests,
and send reminders as and when required.
Customers
need not fear of sending money to unknown parties and later regretting it.
Merchants need not worry about unknown credit in their bank accounts. All
payments received through Khatabook are recorded. Customers have the choice of
making payment via Credit Card/Debit Card or UPI.
Customers
can choose to avail microloans from Khatabook merchants and settle the amount of the purchases as per their convenience. This feature increases the footfalls at
merchant outlets, enabling merchants to focus on customer service.
In the
near future, based on transactions in the merchants Khatabook account, funding
options may be offered to merchants.
Hopefully,
Khatabook will introduce this feature very soon.

Commenting
on this association, Dhoni said, "There are many new-age companies in the
country, only a few like Khatabook, are making a difference at the grassroots
level. Having grown up in small-town India, I saw friends and family struggle
with outdated modes of doing business and tracking finances."
"Khatabook
has had an outsized impact on the lives of India's small merchants and
retailers. I am very excited to join them at a crucial point in their journey,
as they work towards achieving their goal of transforming the way India does
business," he added.
