Ahmedabad #CashFreeCoronaFree UPI push



          Ahmedabad civic officials are pushing for digital transactions in the citizen’s day to day life. UPI is the preferred mode of digital transactions being promoted by Ahmedabad Municipal officials.

Special teams have been formed to spread the Joy of Safe ePayments. Please note it is not mandatory for Digital Transactions, it is only an advisory. An advisory which may reduce the chances of spreading Corona Virus through cash transactions. In case commercial establishments choose cash transactions, then a special tray is required for buyers to put the physical cash.

          The civic administration officials of Ahmedabad Municipal to promote contactless trade, is pushing for Digital Transactions.

          Digital Transactions are a great way to reduce the hassles of cash transactions. At the same time, Digital transactions should take place in a secure manner, to reduce associated frauds.

          The focus on digital transactions is part of post Covid19 lockdown withdrawal strategy. Ahmedabad’s residents are serviced by over 17,000 vendors spread across the city selling a variety of goods.

          These vendors are perfect Ambassadors to spread the joy of Safe ePayments. UPI being an agnostic payment channel, no one will object for its usage.

The seller has the freedom to have a bank account in any UPI enabled bank.  The buyer to has the freedom to transact through any UPI enabled bank. There is no need for sellers or buyers to have bank accounts in specific banks.

There are more than 200 Banks on the UPI Payment channel. Hence a wide choice is there for the seller or the buyers.

          Popular 3rd party Apps viz BHIM, PhonePe, BharatPe, GooglePay too support UPI.
