It’s official now. Ola eScooter
bookings have finally begun.
The company chief Bhavish
Aggarwal made the announcement via his official Twitter handle.
In the tweet, he said,
"India’s EV revolution begins today! Bookings now open for the Ola
Scooter! India has the potential to become the world leader in EVs and we’re
proud to lead this charge! #JoinTheRevolution at http://olaelectric.com

How to book for Ola eScooter:
Interested folks have to visit
Ola Electric website. Yes, there is a separate website for Ola eScooters.
Booking cannot be done via the usual Ola Cab App.
On logging onto the Ola
Electric website, interested folks have to key in their full name and mobile
number. On submitting the same, an OTP will be triggered to the mobile number.
Key in the OTP and the
payment page opens up.
The payment page displays

No, one cannot book Ola
eScooter by paying physical cash. Only digital payment channels are valid.

Ola Scooter will roll out from the Ola Future factory,
the world’s largest electric two-wheeler factory being built in Tamil Nadu.
Ola
is promising to take India's electric vehicle space by storm and ahead of the
launch of its much-touted and eagerly anticipated electric scooter, has opened
bookings for it for a refundable amount of ₹499.
The
Ola electric scooter has been making a mile-long list of promises with several
segment-first features.
There
is potential for the debut model from Ola to come out all guns blazing against
more established rivals in the market and possibly accelerate EV adoption here.

new e-scooter will come with some “segment-best” features.

The Ola Scooter will get best-in-class boot
space as well.

for a keyless experience. This means a smart phone will be mandatory to ride the
Ola eScooter.

Ola Electric has not revealed the official
figures for the driving range.
However,
the company said that a 50% charge could provide a range of 75 km.
The
scooter will roughly get a driving range of 150 km in a single charge.
