Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2021-22 Series IV - Issue Price INR4,807/-

In terms of GoI notification F.No.4(5)-B(W&M)/2021 and RBI press release dated May 12, 2021, the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2021-22 - Series IV will be open for subscription for the period from July 12 - 16, 2021.

The nominal value of the bond based on the simple average closing price [published by the India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd (IBJA)] for gold of 999 purity of the last three business days of the week preceding the subscription period, i.e. July 07, July 08 and July 09, 2021 works out to ₹4,807/- (Rupees Four thousand eight hundred and seven only) per gram of gold.

Government of India, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, has decided to offer a discount of ₹50/- per gram less than the nominal value to those investors applying online and the payment against the application is made through digital mode.

For such investors, the issue price of Gold Bond will be ₹4,757/- (Rupees Four thousand seven hundred and fifty-seven only) per gram of gold.

 

Issue Opening Date: July12, 2021

Issue Closing Date: July16, 2021

The number of Days issue is open: 5

Issuance Date: July 20,2021

As there is no Issue Limit, investors to maximize returns, should apply on the last working day Less 1 i.e July 15, 2021.

The interest will start from the issuance date i.e July 20,2021, irrespective of the application date.

Hence, the investors can earn SB interest from July 12, 2021, to July 15, 2021, instead of blocking funds in SGB

There are a number of channels through which Investors can apply for the SGBs.

All Banks Apps, Stock Trading Apps have this subscription feature.
