JBIMS and NPCI join hands for Master’s Program in Digital Payments

National Payments of India (NPCI) with its headquarters in Mumbai, unveiled a Master’s program for its employees in association with Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS).

Introduced in a collaboration with Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), the degree has been launched under NPCI’s “Learn while you Earn” higher education program.

Indian banking account holders interact with NPCI Products every day 24*7, though majority may not be aware of the support NPCI provides in their daily banking activities

·       ATM Transactions – NFS

·       Cheques – CTS

·       Instant Funds Transfer – UPI

·       Bill Payments – BBPS

·       Toll Payments – FASTag

·       Aadhaar funds transactions – AEPS

·       EMI Payments – NACH Debit

·       Salary Credits – NACH Credits

The program is titled MMS in Digital Payments.

The program is open only to NPCI employees. This means prospective students need to first join NPCI as an employee to explore the MMS – Digital Payments Master’s program.

The program is specially curated for working employees and the delivery mode is Hybrid.

The program focuses on digital payments through integration of technology, finance, BFSI, and information system and management studies.

The first batch took off on July 8th, 2022 with an inaugural session at Mumbai.

This being a hybrid program, employee students will take weekend classes and spend only one week on campus per semester.

One of the objectives of the program is to encourage the participants to publish research papers and articles.

Another advantage of the program is the opportunity to pursue super-specialization and further studies (Ph.D.) after the completion of the Master’s program.
