A quiet December 28 reflection on Shri Ratan Tata’s birthday — choosing pause over persistence, dignity over urgency, and closing 2025 with calm conviction.

On Shri Ratan Tata’s birthday, a citizen chooses restraint over repetition — closing 2025 with gratitude, patience, and respect for timing.


 

I thought I would be writing an appeal today.
I am not.

Not because the idea failed.
Not because the belief faded.
But because something quieter felt more appropriate.

Today is the birthday of Ratan Tata —
and for once, asking for recognition felt less aligned than practising restraint.

What This Year Tried to Do

For much of 2025, I held a simple hope:
that December 28 might one day be recognised as

Visionary Entrepreneurs Day.

It did not happen — at least, not yet.

And today, I am choosing to stop asking.

Some ideas lose their dignity if they are carried forward only by persistence.
Some deserve to rest until society itself feels ready.

Why That Feels Right Today

Shri Ratan Tata never needed persuasion to be principled.
He did not announce restraint.
He did not market conscience.

He lived it — quietly — and allowed time to do what urgency never can.

If a day is ever to carry his spirit,
it must arrive without insistence.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t be his kind of day anyway.

What Remains, Even Without a Title

This year left behind no notification, no declaration.
But it did leave behind something more enduring:

That is not withdrawal.
That is alignment.

So, This Is How 2025 Ends

I am winding up this project — gently.
Not abandoning it.
Not defending it.
Simply letting it rest.

December 28 remains important.
Not because of what it is called —
but because of what it asks us to remember.

That vision is incomplete without responsibility.
That success is hollow without empathy.
That the best builders rarely ask to be celebrated.

The closure

Not every dream needs a declaration.
Some only need patience — and the courage to pause.

Happy Birthday, Shri Ratan Tata.
This is me closing 2025 — calmly, and with gratitude.

          NPCI vide circular No 177, dated July 28 th , 2016, informed the Banking community that the APB Return Code NO 3 – Account Description does not tally is removed from the valid return reasons.            As the participants have to make necessary changes in their Software, the effective date of this circular is September 1 st , 2016.           It may be noted that the ‘Beneficiary Name’, is an Optional field and the Sponsor Bank may choose NOT to incorporate the Beneficiary Name in the input field.                NPCI has observed that few banks are mapping the return records of ‘Aadhaar not mapped to the account number’, to ‘Account Description Does Not Tally’.
